Courtyard Stockholm Kungsholmen

Mycket trevligt bemötande redan vid incheckningsdisken. Vi frågade efter ett rum med två separata sängar vilket dom fixade galant. Sängarna var sköna att sova i och frukosten var enorm och riktigt god.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Preis - Leistungsverhältnis. Bei der Buchung war uns nicht bewusst, dass das Frühstück nicht dabei ist. Haben wir dann erst im Hotel festgestellt. Leider war das Upgrade so überteuert, dass wir darauf verzichtet haben. Das Hotel liegt ausserhalb Stadtzentrum. Ist aber in 10 Min Fussmarsch zur U-Bahn Station gut gelegen um das Stadtzentrum in 5-10 Min Fahrzeit zu erreichen. Hotel hat ein Restaurant. Haben nie dort gegessen. In der Nähe keine gute Auswahl an Restuarant. Musste in die City oder Gamla Stan reisen. Dort gute Auswahl. Wir können das Hotel gerne weiter empfehlen.

Uncertain at first about lodging away from T-Centralen, I was pleasantly surprised that proximity to the Fridhelmsplan Metro station had its own value - a vegetarian restaurant next to the station; a department store a couple of clocks away, and every other kind of shopping-eating within walking distance. The excellent bus-rail mass transit system made it very easy for me to go to more distant places I wanted to visit. The Courtyard is a 12-minute walk from the Metro station. However, when I reached the hotel, rolling my suitcase, I could not enter the hotel from the street level. I had to go down a lot of stairs. The free internet service at the hotel was too slow and did not even connect me on the last day of my stay. The hotel offers "faster" service for a fee. I had one dinner at the hotel and liked it very much. The breakfast buffet with made-to-order items was an attraction, but the cook making omelettes to order did not understand English. The cut fruit were not fresh.

I flew in early in the morning for a concert and the friendly, English-speaking staff not only allowed me to check in at 9:30am, they offered me free breakfast that day. The room was clean, beautifully designed (in that Scandinavian modern style), and had a good layout with a large bathroom and large TV. There was free wi-fi and a refrigerator. It was also quiet with comfortable beds, important after an exhausting concert. The daily free breakfast was first rate (eggs, fruit, muffins, cereal, good coffee, breakfast meats and cheeses etc) in a comfortable setting. It was very reasonably priced, and a decent location, though not anywhere famous.

We chose this hotel only as there were almost no other affordable rooms available in Stockholm for our stay 22nd-26th May, this was because of Elitloppet, a large horse race that draws a big international crowd for betting etc. The hotel is located on Kungsholmen island, there are many bars and restaurants within about a 10-15 minute walk up the hill behind the hotel. The hotel itself sits right across the street of a huge park so the immediate surroundings are pretty quiet. There is no huge parking lot in front of the hotel as with Courtyards in the US, instead a nice outdoor serving connected with the restaurant. As we arrived we realized we might have forgot to specify king size bed as we ended up in a room with two singles, even though the hotel was fully booked the staff was very forgiving and allowed us to switch to a room with a king size bed. The hotel seems very new with modern clean design. The rooms have large floor to ceiling windows, bright colors (white, green, turqoise) and black out curtains. We were a little disappointed that breakfast was not included in the $303 a night rate for a deluxe room with king size bed, we went for the $18pp per morning breakfast, that's a discount deal only if you eat breakfast at the hotel every day of your stay, otherwise it's $25pp. We also had a car, not sure about Stockholm parking prices but the hotel charged $40 a night for a spot in the garage, no valet. I didn't see any close-by parking spots except parking on the street, but then you would have to move the car every day and it can be hard to find a spot on the street in this area. The room was very enjoyable, comfortable bed and a large bathroom. Cleaning service was excellent and neatly arranged even our own toiletries that we had been lazy enough to leave out on the counter. Can recommend the restaurant on the ground floor, definitely ask the wait staff about the special for the day, prices are very reasonable for the quality, there is also a large outdoor serving that fills up early with an after work crowd, the view is of the park. We didn't try the hotel bar but it looks nice with lounge chairs and a cozy fireplace. There is a fitness center within the hotel, treadmills, cross trainers, one bike, free weights and several fixed exercise machines, open 24hrs. When we went in the afternoon it was empty. There is also a 24hr quick convenience shop by the lobby that sells toothpaste, water, candies etc, it's all charged to the room. About a 10 minute walk from the hotel and you reach the water of lake Malaren, a promenade runs along the water where boats are docked and several lake side cafes and restaurants. Would recommend this hotel for travelers not on a tight budget and do not wish to stay in the immediate center of Stockholm, you can reach central Stockholm in about 15 minutes by taking the subway.

I stayed 2 nights on business. Very modern design hotel - out of character for this particular chain. Very trendy public space, with great bar and restaurant. However service left a lot to be desired at the bar- it was busy but the level of attention was very slow. Great choice for breakfast and gym facilities good standard.

This hotel has a great locación but the romos are very small and not so celan like i belived

We received support and service from the hotel above and beyond what was expected. Excellent staff at the front desk. Our room was functional, very clean, and everything worked. Hotel is energy efficient and has the very latest in electronic security.
